Dianah Otiend is a Kenyan mother who contracted malaria while pregnant with her third child. Her story is featured in a film highlighting MMV's Malaria in Mothers and Babies (MiMBa) strategy, which aims to improve access to appropriate medicines for pregnant and breastfeeding women and newborns affected by malaria.

With 125 million pregnant women in sub-Saharan Africa at risk of contracting malaria, there is a pressing need to improve access to intermittent preventive treatment of malaria during pregnancy (IPTp) and raise awareness on this topic.
