After more than a decade of dedicated service, our CEO, Dr David Reddy, will be stepping down from his role to take on a new position as Director General of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (IFPMA) in April 2024.

Dr David Reddy, a scientist with over 30 years of experience in the development and delivery of medicines, has been at the helm of MMV for 13 years. During his tenure, he has played a pivotal role in advancing the fight against malaria by spearheading MMV’s mission to discover, develop and deliver new life-saving antimalarial medicines. Under his leadership, the organisation has brought forward 15 medicines that have saved more than 13.6 million lives.

As we look to the future, MMV's Board is actively engaged in a search process to identify a new CEO who will continue to champion MMV’s mission and advance our work to cure, prevent and eliminate malaria. A new CEO candidate is expected to be announced in spring 2024. In the interim, MMV's General Counsel and Executive Vice President, Sylvie Fonteilles-Drabek, will take on the role of CEO starting in April 2024. Sylvie has been at MMV since 2007 and has served as David’s deputy since 2011.
