MMV features in The Pulse on Al Jazeera
The BBC’s Kill or Cure malaria programme featuring MMV has recently been aired on Al Jazeera, the premier global English language news channel headquartered in the Middle East. The weekly program, The Pulse, which focuses on global health and scientific innovation, is anchored by Shereen El Feki, a former science and pharmaceutical writer for the Economist. It’s an excellent program which gives the much needed air-time on issues close to MMV’s heart.
This film explores how artemisinin-based combination therapies (ACTs) are providing new hope for millions of malaria sufferers. In the film, Dr Chris Hentschel, MMV’s President and CEO, visits a clinical trial site in Burkina Faso which has enrolled its first patient for a Phase III study of CDA, a new ACT MMV is helping to develop.
