How will this funding will help advance your research?

The Pathogen Box initiative is another great opportunity for endemic-country researchers to search for new drugs against debilitating neglected infectious diseases. We hope to identify new chemotypes with innovative modes of action against Mycobacterium ulcerans, Leishmania spp. and Toxoplasma gondii. Ultimately, the goal is to identify new improved drugs for these diseases. We will also be able to train a pool of next-generation researchers to continue the work in Africa against neglected infectious diseases.
