International Conference on Pure and Applied Chemistry
Event theme: Emerging Trends in Chemical Sciences
Science and chemistry have crucial roles for achieving some of the goals set by the United Nations for sustainable development of our planet.
The conference programme will feature a wide variety of keynote, plenary, invited and contributed lectures, as well as poster sessions. There will also be workshops and symposia conducted by experts on different chemical aspects.
This conference will provide a platform for participants to share and discuss recent findings of their research covering all topics related to Chemistry and crystallise new ideas.
Workshop: How to progress small molecule hits from screening efforts
The purpose of this symposium aimed at researchers from disease endemic countries is to enhance and build scientific research capacity in integrated drug discovery. Specifically the symposium will focus on how to progress small molecule chemical matter (hits) from screening efforts (both from primary screens, and particularly from the use of the Malaria and Pathogen Box to deliver leads suitable for optimization and selection as preclinical drug development candidates. A key outcome will be to raise awareness of existing drug discovery activities in the continent in an attempt to foster new collaborations between attendees.
