As the range of tools to combat malaria grows, it is increasingly important to ensure that new products focus on addressing unmet needs. Therefore, product development teams must take into account not only safety and efficacy criteria, but also market dynamics and access challenges.

MMV’s Access team works together with the Business Development and R&D team to ensure that critical market and public health criteria are incorporated into our product development partnerships. This input may consist of focused feedback from malaria control programme managers, market volume reporting from MMV’s market intelligence partners, and guidance received from in-country implementing partners.
