MMV is a leading, not-for-profit product development partnership (PDP) in the field of antimalarial drug research and development. It was formed in 1999 to re-ignite stalled Research & Development (R&D) into new drugs for malaria. Its mission is to reduce the burden of malaria in disease-endemic countries by discovering, developing and delivering new, effective and affordable antimalarial drugs.
We are seeking a consultancy to:
- Review the structure and capability of our advocacy and communications functions; identify options for improvement that will support MMV’s strategic objectives across multiple platforms, with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders in a complex global health landscape.
- Review our strategic approach to advocacy and communications, benchmarked against best practices in global health to identify strengths, weaknesses, gaps and opportunities in the way in which MMV currently engages with stakeholders.
- Recommend options for a way forward, for consideration by senior management, with timelines and resource requirements for structural improvementsthat align with and support MMV’s future strategy. These recommendations would inform the development of new, 2-year strategies for advocacy and communications to support MMV’s organizational aspirations and would feed into MMV’s next strategic planning process.
