What I do at MMV:
I manage the IT for MMV, in particular I am responsible for: IT Strategy, application development, budget control and vendor management.
Why I work at MMV:
I have always enjoyed working in humanitarian organizations. I spent 2 years as a “guardien chien abandonee” for the SPA . Recently I have been working in the private sector, so when the opportunity arose to move back into the not-for-profit sector, I jumped at it.
More about me:
I have been involved in IT for nearly 40 years. I started out as a FORTRAN programmer using computer punch cards, moving through teletypes, monitors, mainframes, PC’s, network solutions, the Internet, and now Cloud computing. Despite the rapid evolution of everything to do with computers, there are certain golden rules that have applied all along and that I still apply today; notably – keep it simple, keep it documented, and keep a close eye on the costs and timelines.
Ask me about:
Any aspect of IT, but don’t expect me to fix your home computer…. And skiing, particularly backcountry and freestyle skiing.
