Jean-Christophe Magnin

Finance Officer

What I do at MMV:

As Finance Officer, my responsibilities include processing invoices and payments, preparing bank reconciliation statements, reviewing travel expenses, and various other finance-related tasks. I also work closely with the Access and Product Management team to prepare monthly reports and budgets.

Why I work at MMV:

I’ve always had a great admiration and a deep respect for humanitarian causes, so I am very proud to have joined MMV and to be a part of the critical role it plays in the fight against malaria. Although accounting itself will not lead to a cure for malaria, I hope to be an effective partner for all of MMV’s stakeholders by contributing my skills toward the eradication of this terrible disease.

More about me:

Before joining MMV, I held several Finance positions, over a 10-year period, at the International Road Transport Union (IRU). During this time, I experienced significant professional growth, as I was exposed to a wide range of activities and challenges. Prior to my career in Finance, I started out working in customer service, at a large and reputable store in the Geneva city centre. I hold an Accounting Certificate and a Professional Baccalaureate in Commerce. I also completed the level "BTS Action Commercial" at the IPAC school in France. In order to have my credentials recognized in Switzerland, I obtained an accounting certification at the IFAGE school in Geneva.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy many sports but soccer still remains my favorite – given that I played for 30 years. I also love spending my free time with my family.
