Doreen Yomoah

Communications Officer
Corporate Affairs

What I do at MMV:

My responsibilities include managing MMV's social media channels; developing engaging content (such as news stories, op-eds and videos) and online communications materials; keeping internal communications materials up to date and responding to media queries.

Why I work at MMV:

As someone who is originally from a malaria-endemic developing country, it is important to me that my work contributes to improving people's quality of life, including people's right to health and happiness.

More about me:

I worked at the UN in Geneva from 2015 to 2022. I spent four years at the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD) as part of the Communications and Outreach Unit. I was responsible for communications and research on social protection, human rights and gender.

Following my time at UNRISD, I worked at the International Telecommunication Union. I was the communications lead for the secretariat of the EQUALS Global Partnership for Gender Equality in the Digital Age in 2019 and moved to the digital innovation team in 2020.

I have a BA from Michigan State University and an MA in peace studies from the University of Bradford.
