Danielle Sessa
Communications Manager
What I do at MMV:
My responsibilities include ensuring MMV’s website is up-to-date and user friendly, crafting content for print and web and finding new and innovative ways to spread the word about the burden of malaria and MMV’s essential role in bringing forward life-saving medicines.
Why I work at MMV:
It’s great to be part of such a diverse, multicultural and passionate team of individuals all working towards the same goal—the eradication of one of the world’s largest public health problems. I enjoy staying on top of the latest news and following the global conversation on malaria. I learn something new each day and I enjoy that.
More about me:
I started out working in sales and before joining MMV I held positions in both the private and non-profit sectors. Most recently I worked as a Communications Specialist for a startup based at CERN where I created social media campaigns for events and coordinated the creation of a new website. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from John Cabot University in Rome and a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Lausanne in Switzerland.
Ask me about:
How to effectively monitor the media coverage around a specific topic or event, the latest news on malaria and global health, major issues in US politics and how to bake an unbeatable pecan pie.
