What I do at MMV:
As External Relations Intern, I provide support with fundraising and donor relations activities. This includes research, compiling information, archiving documents and anything else I can do to assist the team.
Why I work at MMV:
I find it hard to believe that even though malaria is preventable and treatable, every day more than 1000 people die due to the disease. MMV’s goal to reduce the burden of malaria is one of utmost importance and I am very proud to be a small part of this cause. I love that MMV brings together academic brain and pharmaceutical muscle to make a positive impact.
More about me:
I am American and Canadian and I grew up in the US. I completed my Bachelors of Psychology at the University of Oklahoma then I moved to Switzerland to complete my Masters of Health Sciences with a focus on health economics and policy. I enjoy many activities (almost too many to fit into my schedule), but especially, traveling, scuba diving, hiking, and really anything with a bit of adventure. Currently, I am a budding skier and a melted cheese connoisseur (raclette and fondue).
Ask me about:
Anything, I love to chat. More specifically, I'm always up for a conversation about the English, German, Spanish, and French languages, Swiss vs. American culture (and why I think Switzerland could impart some wisdom to the US), and past and future travel plans.
