9 Mar 2016

ISGlobal Associate Research Professor Xavier Fernàndez- Busquets delivered this scientific seminar on 18 February 2016 in Barcelona.

Reportedly, malaria has been the killer of about half of all people who have ever lived, among which such celebrities as king Tutankhamun, Alexander the Great, and Genghis Khan. To commemorate the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine awarded to Professor Youyou Tu, Dr Xavier Fernàndez- Busquets provides an overview of the fascinating (hi)story of this disease through short stories about its sufferers from dinosaurs to humans.
